The leading company in the sector
TEXAID is the leading company for the collection, sorting and recycling of used textiles in Switzerland. TEXAID collects over 36,000 tonnes of used textiles across Switzerland every year; these are then further processed in their own sorting plants in Switzerland and abroad. Constantly improving climate and environmental protection is an integral part of the company’s strategy. TEXAID has been optimising its working processes and quality standards for this purpose for years, and offers sustainable solutions for old textiles.
Diverse job profiles
TEXAID employs staff in all of the regions of Switzerland and offers jobs in a range of different sectors. Drivers are responsible for emptying the containers, while area managers in the sales force are the contacts for local communities, and sorters and other staff work in the warehouse and in haulage at the sorting plant in Schattdorf. TEXAID also employs a large number of staff in various departments as managers. TEXAID offers its employees a lot of scope for responsibility and independence.
TEXAID contributes to environmental sustainability by returning used clothing to the textile cycle. This preserves valuable raw materials and reduces environmental damage. TEXAID has an ISO-certified quality and environment management system in Switzerland (ISO 9001 & ISO 14001) and has been awarded the ‘carbon dioxide neutral’ label by Swiss Climate AG.
TEXAID’s sustainability concept is also reflected in its role as an employer. Further training and development opportunities are available for all employees. Team spirit is fostered through team events and an open culture of discussion.
