High-Throughput Lab Automation Engineer
We are looking for a candidate who is highly motivated to operate, maintain, supervise and further develop our two existing fully integrated lab automation platforms. Further, the successful candidate is expected to collaborate with different research groups on their screening activities and to proactively interact with service engineers. This core staff position offers the opportunity to work in a highly dynamic and multi-disciplinary team of currently eight life scientists, engineers, bioinformaticians and statisticians.
The candidate should have a masters or doctoral degree in engineering or life/natural sciences with a proven record in handling high-end lab automation equipment. Experience in programming and operation of lab automation and liquid handling systems is a must. Knowledge in adaptation and optimization of cell-based and in vitro assays and understanding of mammalian cell culture systems are considered a plus. To regularly face new challenges in a multi-user environment, very good organizational skills and a service oriented, highly flexible and accurate working style are as important as being part of a versatile team aiming for a common goal. A good command of English is essential.
