For our client, a major player in the global pipeline industry, we are looking for an English speaking person (m/f) to run the company’s Swiss office located in Zug.

The successful candidate will be expected to liaise between the company and its clients, ensuring excellent customer service and client satisfaction. He/she will also manage client relationships, develop account plans and deliver proposals.

Fluent English-speaking Sales & Client Manager (100%)

The main tasks and duties include:

  • Participation in planning, developing and implementation of strategies to promote tubular goods of Russian origin to the European markets;
  • Preparation and sending out of tender bids;
  • Monitoring the execution of transactions, inter alia in collaboration with staff of the representative office in Moscow;
  • Timing and control of manufacturing/shipping/delivery of goods;
  • Payments tracking of customers – company of Russian pipe and tubes producers;
  • Consideration and settlement of claims in respect of quality and timing of the delivered products, inter alia in collaboration with staff of Russian representative office;
  • Organising the end-user support of tubular products in Europe, including sales support;
  • Analysing of customer satisfaction, development and implementation of measures to work with clients;
  • Planning and preparation of customer activities and events;
  • Analysis of data on competitor’s sales, including CIS;
  • Interacting with the commercial services of the Russian manufacturers of pipes and the staff of the representative office in Moscow.

The ideal candidate has:

  • A valid work and residency permit for Switzerland;
  • At least 2 years’ practical experience in the procurement and sales of industrial products, in particular tubes;
  • Experience in the handling of claims arising from the unsatisfactory performance of the manufacturer’s obligations in respect of quality, quantity, delivery time, etc.;
  • Knowledge of the basic terms and conditions of foreign trade (INCOTERMS; L/C rules and regulations, Performance Bonds, Bank L/G, Corporate L/G and experience of the above transactions (including interaction, negotiations with banks, insurance companies, etc.);
  • A background in and knowledge of the pipe products market within the EU would be an advantage;
  • Practical experience in drafting tender bids and knowledge of pipe production technology would be an advantage;
  • A customer-oriented approach, strong communication and negotiation skills as well as solid presentation skills;
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office programmes, in particular Excel;
  • Fluent written and spoken English (preferably including metallurgical/pipe glossary); knowledge of German, Russian or another European language would be an advantage;
  • Ability to quickly adapt to and deal effectively with fast changing priorities;
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information and situations with integrity;
  • Willingness to travel if required;
  • Willingness to relocate to Zug, Switzerland;
