Sourcing & Vendor Management – Strategic Sourcer (IT Services)

  • A role within the Sourcing & Vendor Management Department, to drive supply-side initiatives/projects related to IT Outsourcing (ITO) and IT consulting (ITC) as well as manage other key initiatives that arise in the wider ITO / ITC arenas
  • Responsibility for leading and executing a comprehensive portfolio of sourcing projects primarily in the area of Private Banking and Wealth Management related to ITO/ITC including conceptualization of sourcing strategy/approach with Internal Business Partners and SVM leadership, and subsequent execution of sourcing events

  • To coordinate execution of successful ITO / ITC vendor contract negotiations
  • To develop credibility and operate as a subject matter expert and internal consultant for ITO/ITC and become the first point of contact for the business stakeholders in respect of ITO/ITC vendors and related sourcing
  • To build effective and cooperative alliances externally with key vendors and manage directly those vendor relationships from a commercial perspective


  • Significant experience of executing ITO/ITC type engagements and contracts either from the sourcing side or from the side of a big-4 service provider
  • Significant experience in ITO / ITC project structures, business case production and review, included but not limited to scoping, pricing models utilized, operating models, performance measurements including setting service standards, SLAs and associated KPIs
  • Strong influencing, collaboration and relationship-building skills both internally with key stakeholders and externally with vendors
  • Strong negotiations and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to analyze markets and gather intelligence on market conditions and supply/demand drivers
  • Strong data analytic skills
  • Proficient project management skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy to understand business terms to senior executives
  • Legal or paralegal qualification/experience desired but not required
  • Procurement or other sourcing experience
  • Self-motivation with strong organizational skills
  • Proven track record of working in a multi-task, international environment with an ability to work effectively cross border
  • Advanced MS Excel &Power Point skills & ability to easily learn other standard procurement and demand management tools
  • Fluency in English; Proficiency in German (nice to have); other languages are an advantage but not required
  • Experience in Products- or Coverage IT (e.g. Trade Management, Digital Banking, …) would be a plus
