headcount AG is a Zürich based consultancy serving clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical technology, diagnostic, OTC, and chemical market segments.

Our client is a Swiss biotech startup, currently in clinical phase, based in the greater Zürich area. They are currently a team of 50 people undergoing rapid expansion. Due to rapid growth and several further candidate molecules, we are looking for an experienced canidated to drive and support the translational development activities for their pipeline.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

_Develop translational research strategies to identify and advance therapeutic protein candidates

_Assess and analyze the fields, medical need, competition, regulatory and clinical requirements for developing candidates from lead identification to early clinical studies

_Proactively interact with all departments along the development chain to align strategy

_Prepare and implement supportive non-clinical and early clinical plans and strategies

_Prepare and present findings internally and externally

_Co-ordinate internal and external review of our client’s development plans

_Support development of non-clinical and early clinical plans for progression of candidates towards clinical evaluation

_Coordinate and implement, manage and complete on time outsourced non-clinical and early clinical in vitro and in vivo studies

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

_Advanced university degree (PhD, MD, or DVM)

_8+ biotech/pharma/CRO industry experience in translational (non-clinical) development of biotherapeutics or proteins, or immunotherapies/monoclonal antibodies

_Understanding of all aspects of the pharmaceutical development process

_Flexibility to enter in new areas and be prepared to learn new aspects

_Demonstrated experience in managing external (CROs, KOLs etc. ) and internal stakeholders

_A strong track record in successfully delivering projects on time and in budget
