Job Description
As a member of our Liquid Strategies Investment Structuring team you will be part of an agile and diverse team playing an active role in shaping our liquid and semi-liquid product offerings. Being guided by our broader corporate strategy and a constantly changing regulatory landscape, you will contribute to new and innovative product initiatives as well as help maintain and further develop our existing suite of products.
This role combines tax strategy / advisory as well as tax compliance functions and will see you:
develop and execute tax strategies that align with business objectives;
support investment structuring with tax due diligence and tax advice across our liquid markets investment activities;
monitor various investment structures, including comingled investment funds, certificates, dedicated client mandates, managed accounts, SPVs, and other investment vehicles, ensuring their compliance with tax requirements;
ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements, including tax returns, filings, and documentation;
review and enhance tax policies, procedures, and controls to ensure best practice and compliance across the our product landscape;
support strategic tax projects and continuously screen tax legislation changes, and provide recommendations to mitigate tax risks and maximize tax benefits;
coordinate and manage external tax counsels, auditors and interaction with taxation authorities.
Requirements
What we are looking for:
Advanced degree in law or business administration with a strong focus on tax;
Strong communicator who is able to explain and discuss complex ideas and concepts clearly and succinctly with a broad audience;
Self-starter and motivated individual who can identify own goals, take initiative, and drive projects to completion;
Complete and confident fluency in written and spoken English;
3-6 years of relevant experience working as a tax professional with one of the Big 4, a well recognized law firm or in-house at a large asset manager;
Experience in cross-border tax matters across Europe and the U.S.
