We are looking for a Sustainability Reporting and Communication Manager to join our journey. The role is key in our rigorous science-driven approach to communication and reporting of the Groups sustainability strategy, objectives and performance to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Your main focus areas in the job are:

  • Work closely with the senior manager and provide content for the Groups sustainability disclosures. This includes: ·Annual integrated report·Sustainability performance report·Global external website·Internal communications channels (e.g. Holcim intranet)
  • Support the external assurance of Sustainability Department results, working with the selected and assurance provider and relevant contacts from Finance
  • Address requests from Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) ratings agencies and support with the completion of questionnaires such as: Sustainalytics, Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), Vigeo, Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) and others.
  • Assist topic experts with the completion of Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for Carbon and Water, Corporate Human Rights Benchmark (CHRB) and related other reports such as United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Communication on Progress.
  • Provide responses to investor queries on sustainability issues
  • Assist in developing response to media and investor queries on controversies
  • Develop and manage an external sustainability advisory panel
You interact on a daily basis with colleagues within the Sustainability Department, Health Safety & Environment (HSE), Communications and Public Affairs. Other key internal stakeholders include:
  • Finance / Investors Relations
  • Regional Executive Committee members to countries CEOs
  • Co-workers in operating sites including plant management, local communications, environment and health coordinators
In addition, you collaborate with external stakeholders and partners, such as:
  • ESG ratings agencies
  • External auditors
  • NGOs
  • Sustainability reporting standardization bodies
  • Media outlets
  • Members of the external advisory panel


  • University degree preferably in a Sustainability related topic
  • Relevant professional qualifications are a plus


  • 5-10 years' experience in the field of sustainability / communication / reporting / finance
  • Proven experience driving performance and delivering value-adding projects
  • Experience in engaging with senior management delivering key messages in a concise and clear way

Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and rigorous approach to tasks
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and the capacity to prioritize with a good sense for urgency
  • True team worker with the tangible desire to contribute to the Group success and high social competence working in multicultural teams
  • Strong communicator able to promote the team objectives with clear impact and influence
  • Self starter with the ability to work independently

Language Requirements

Native or bilingual written and spoken English is required.
Other languages including French or German or Spanish would be an advantage.
