In this role you will be contributing to maintain and constantly improve the legal and compliance framework of the Swiss Management Company. This includes the managing of fund projects, the fund document maintenance and control of legal and compliance risks and regulatory requirements on fund management company as well as on Swiss Fund level. Integrating legal and compliance risk aspects into decision making plays an important role.
- Responsibility for fund documentation covering the full life cycle of funds under Swiss and Luxembourg Law: prepare and execute fund launches, fund prospectus/fund contract revisions, mergers and liquidations.
- Responsibility for adjustments to legal fund structures in the event of regulatory or factual changes as well as Initiation of and oversight on fund registration and distribution.
- Close cooperation with FINMA, external service providers as well as related oversight responsibility; handling of notifications, applications and queries from FINMA.
- Manage and further develop the Compliance oversight framework on the Swiss Management Company, and perform Swiss regulatory watch.
- Prepare, negotiate and maintain all relevant contracts related to the Swiss funds and the Swiss Management Company and prepare corporate documentation.
- Support or lead internal projects, process management and/or fund product initiatives.
- General point of contact internally and with external stakeholders for legal issues. You will be working with and report to the Head Legal & Compliance JSSIF.
- University degree in law, economics or equivalent.
- At least five years of working experience in the fund industry, preferably with experience gained at a law firm and/or regulator . First in-house experience is an asset.
- Strong analytical skills and mind set with the ability to work thoroughly, flexible and independently.
- Team player willing to take full ownership of his/her tasks and area of responsibility.
- Solution oriented with a pragmatic approach and readiness to work closely with colleagues and stakeholders, internally and externally.
- Ability to work under pressure, to prioritize and to take clear decisions.
- Very good command of English, German and French.
