Biochemistry Scientific Associate (Temporary, 2 years)

  • This position is located in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Global Function as a part of the 360 Labs organisation - a new initiative where cutting-edge technology platforms enable both expiatory research and early discovery efforts in close collaboration with our therapeutic areas and functions. We work along agile working principles which assure flexibility, empowerment and distributed leadership.

  • The Proteomics and Metabolomics group in collaboration with the I2S department is seeking a Biochemist laboratory expert with a strong background in proteomics research. The successful candidate will primarily work on sample preparation from various cell models (mammalian tissue culture, protein extraction, protein assays, etc.) and associated biofluids (cell supernatants, extracellular vesicles, etc) for proteomics analysis with various quantitative approaches (e.g., label-free, SILAC, TMT) using high-resolution tandem mass spectrometry.

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Biochemistry, or related field with 3-5 years of relevant work experience (no PhD)

  • You have hands-on experience with sample preparation for molecular biology experiments (mammalian tissue culture, protein extraction, protein assays, etc.) and with sample preparation for proteomics analysis with various quantitative approaches (e.g., label-free, SILAC, TMT)

  • You have some experience operating and troubleshooting nano liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry systems (for example Thermo Orbitrap or Bruker timsTOF Systems)

  • You are able to keep proper experimental records, analyze, summarize and present data from your research

  • You thrive in highly collaborative environments

  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Independent proteomics data analysis and processing would be an advantageous skill
