(Senior) Forward Analyst (f/m/d)

As a (Senior) Forward Analyst at Axpo Solutions AG you will be supporting the asset backed trading unit with market analysis and modelling activities. You will be closely working with the Forward Trading Desk with focus on power markets and commodity trading. In this position you will be teaming up with data science and market experts so as to develop new trading strategies and capture market opportunities.

• Cover D+2 to Y+3 horizon to build model-based trading solutions
• Pro-actively identify trading opportunities on Swiss, German, French, Italian and Austrian power markets
• Develop innovative models and tools according to the needs of the supported teams (technical, fundamental, machine learning)
• Independently derive trading strategies
• Improve and maintain European power price forecasts
• Monitor market news and regulations affecting European power prices

• You have a University degree in Business, Engineering or Mathematics
• You have several years of trading experience or exposure to trading environment, ideally with proven track record in a similar position
• You have strong programming skills: Matlab & Python
• You are experienced in fundamental quant finance modelling and have pricing knowledge
• You are an analytical problem solver, with the attitude to make things happen
• You are a team player and an excellent communicator
• You are fluent in English and German
