Cloud Database Engineer - Azure PostgreSQL (m,f,d) Zurich - 100%

Project : For a long-term project in the area of cloud databases, we are looking for an experienced Database Platform Engineer with a focus on PostgreSQL and Azure. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, further development, and operation of a modern database platform in the Azure cloud. Automation, stability, and security of the platform are paramount. You will work in an agile environment and contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform.

Main tasks:
•Design, implementation, and automation of database platforms with a focus on Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server
•Further development and operation of the PostgreSQL database infrastructure
•Analysis, support, and consulting of application teams in the PostgreSQL environment
•Implementation of requirements for the Azure cloud infrastructure within a SAFe ART
•Hardening and optimization of the components used according to best practices

Requirements:
•Completed training or degree in computer science or comparable qualification
•Several years of experience in the development, implementation, and automation of database platforms, particularly with PostgreSQL
•Practical experience with public cloud, preferably in the financial environment and with Microsoft Azure
•Quick comprehension, analytical and conceptual thinking
•High quality orientation and structured, precise working methods
•Team orientation, customer focus, and good communication skills
•Experience with agile methods (Scrum, SAFe)

Languages:
•German; fluent (level C1 - C2)
•English; fluent (at least B2)
