Manager DevOps Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)

As a Manager, DevOps CI/CD this role is responsible for managing a team of engineers to provide DevOps Services focused around Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) for Varian’s latest cloud based products. As a CI/CD Owner you are accountable for the overall CI/CD concepts, process and tooling. Be able to build a new team to support the new technology, mentor them and deliver on the DevOps process of CI, CD, product monitoring and reliability for a new platform.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Involving all relevant stakeholders elicits and documents the main requirements for CD, and the KPIs
  • Establishes and documents the concept for CD
  • Manages the selection and validation of the relevant tooling
  • Together with the development-, architecture- and testing stakeholders establishes the CD process
  • Works with the development teams and other stakeholders to implement the CD process
  • Coordinates on continuous basis the necessary development- and maintenance activities to keep the tools, scripts, test environments efficient and effective
  • Introduce new products and services to the Cloud, building the production infrastructure along with the monitoring and alerting systems

Qualifications

  • Master or Bachelor in software engineering, computer science or equivalent academic degree
  • 5+ years of experience as an established technical leader of Devops teams, with proven track record of successfully delivering cloud services
  • Proven track record of leading, planning and coordinating the work across teams and roles
  • Understanding of virtualization and cloud technologies like AWS, Microsoft Azure and related management frontends along with scripting APIs
  • Good understanding of networking and infrastructure security and best practices.
  • Knowledge of CD tooling: TFS, TeamCity, Jenkins NuGet, powershell
  • Deep understanding of the state-of-the-art Continous Delivery concepts
