Industrial Designer m/w/d

Job description
  • Lead complex projects from concept to production (research, 3D modeling, prototyping)
  • Shape and evolve the design languages of Wenger and Victorinox
  • Deliver precise design packages and specifications for smooth production
  • Review and refine samples, balancing cost, quality, and brand strategy
  • Represent design in cross-functional project meetings and influence key decisions
  • Mentor and support designers, trainees, and interns
  • Conduct trend research, benchmarking, and consumer insights for future strategies
  • Own project milestones and ensure timely, aligned delivery
  • Share insights to improve workflows and foster innovation (trends, AI, sustainability)
  • Represent design at trade shows, market visits, and external events
  • Drive creative pilot projects and innovation beyond standard briefs
Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Product/Industrial Design or a related field
  • Several years experience in product design, ideally in consumer goods or lifestyle brands
  • Expertise in 3D modeling and rendering (e.g., Rhinoceros 3D or Siemens NX)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and production constraints
  • Ability to translate brand identity into innovative, functional designs
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Creative thinker with a passion for aesthetics and usability
  • Detail-oriented and quality-driven
  • Collaborative and proactive in cross-functional environments
  • Familiarity with trend analysis, sustainability, and emerging technologies (e.g., AI in design)
  • Fluent in English (C1),  German is a plus
