Product & Project Engineer Surveillance

YOUR TASK
Lead, manage, support CNS/ATM-Surveillance products and systems, their service and lifecycle
Conduct or participate in projects for the procurement, implementation and further development of surveillance systems to ensure safe and efficient operational service levels
Deliver project's allocated tasks and work packages within scope, schedule and budget. Coordinate with other project members, internal and external stakeholders, and in particular suppliers
Define system's functional and technical specifications. Identify and design implementation options or solutions. Evaluate product's tender proposals. Participate to factory-, site-, integration- and user- acceptance tests. Manage transition to operational use
Elaborate system's maintenance concepts, service support levels, and define related documentation together with suppliers and maintenance units. Arrange the basic and advanced trainings for engineering and technical staff to meet service and compliance requirements
Support maintenance units (level 3) during system lifecycle for monitoring of performance, analysis of technical incidents and problem resolutions. Identify, quantify and initiate modifications and/or corrections to the systems in collaboration with line management and suppliers whenever required
Ensure appropriate demonstration of compliance to international regulations and standards, and application of skyguide quality and safety methodologies
Develop studies to implement the middle and long term strategies incl. participation to groups
and collaboration at national and international level with other partners
YOUR PROFILE
Engineer with Master degree in electronics or telecommunication
Knowledge of Surveillance CNS/ATM systems products. Experience and know-how on A-SMGCS surveillance technologies such as SMR and MLAT sensors would be an asset
Experience in projects with systems procurement, commissioning and deployment
Service and business- oriented attitude with a structured work method with effective result oriented and decision making skills
Established social and leadership competences, such as effective team working, communication and collaboration, open to innovation and development
Excellent knowledge of the english language (C1 level), good knowledge of german or french (B1 level)
Able to travel regularly between skyguide premises, particularly Geneva and Zürich, and in Europe
