We are now seeking to recruit a Release and Deployment Manager working within the Change and Release Team, providing release and deployment support for a major program of work. This role specifically relates to Release Management for Applications. It is expected that the Release and Deployment Manager will be an active contributor regarding Release Management processes and tooling, taking on responsibilities in a number of different areas.

Release and Deployment Manager

  • Ensure that the defined Release and Deployment Management processes are executed as described, following an ITIL best practice approach
  • Contribute to the overall Release Planning of the bank, ensuring dependencies, risks and issues are identified and managed
  • Prepare project specific Release and Deployment Plans and agree with all relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure each Release is tested, verified, deployed and backed out as required
  • Prepare Release Management relevant reports and ensure adherence to all defined Release Management KPIs and Controls
  • Ensure that the ITSM tool (Service NOW) is correctly updated with all relevant information
  • Ensure close collaboration with Change and Configuration Management, including correct exchange of information
  • Support process improvements initiatives for Release Management
  • Liaise with third party vendors and contractors to ensure that Release Management processes are understood and correctly executed by all resources that hold a responsibility in this area
  • Minimum 4 years experience within a Software Release Management role
  • Experience with other Service Management processes, specifically Change and Configuration Management are desireable
  • Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, including source code management principles
  • Understanding of common Service and Process Management methodologies such as ITIL, Cobit
  • Experience with Service Now or other ITSM tools, for example Remedy, HPSM
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both individually and in a team
  • Excellent working knowledge of English (written and spoken) required. German desireable
