The Nestlé System Technology Center (NSTC) in Orbe is Nestlé's leading competence center for the design, development and deployment of Nestlé systems, offering expertise in machines, packaging, and products for in-home and out-of-home.
We are currently looking for a R&D Specialist in Paper materials that will, with a fundamental focus on paper-based packaging for systems, supports project managers in designing & characterizing functional packaging to meet business and consumer needs. He /she will develops adequate packaging solutions, evaluate their performance against defined requirements, build his /her expertise and apply his /her knowledge in the field of paper-based materials. He/she will be the point of contact with Nestlé Research in this area and will develop collaborations with packaging suppliers, external partners and universities.
Propose new ideas/concepts/activities/methods in terms of materials development, design and characterization
Build and document knowledge and share with the teams about latest methods, trends and developments in relevant field of activity
Put in place developments and technical assistance with external partners, universities and suppliers
Support packaging project managers and deliver against projects' timelines
Present results/methods in written and oral form to interested parties or visitors
Provide accurate and on-time support to operation and help provide effective and sustainable solutions
Give support to customers, assistance in industrialization start-ups, follow-up product launches, including technical and product improvements
Develop related tools and competencies in the domain of activity
Proven working experience in paper industry for food; good knowledge in packaging
Good experience in food safety and regulatory environment for papers
Proven network with universities and industry in this field
Experience in systems is definitively a plus
Excellent knowledge of English language, both written and spoken (any other language is a plus)
