To support its research strategy, the Institute of Material Sciences - Technology Department is seeking for a Food Process Scale-up Engineer.
In this position, you will provide food process engineering competence to Nestlé Research (NR) projects to guide research to solutions with faster and more realistic implementation at industrial scale. You will also collaborate with various stakeholders and team of experts to anticipate Development & Industrialization.
Involve in Nestlé Research projects to anticipate engineering challenges, to identify at an early project stage technological hurdles or bottle necks for quick implementation in factories
Work in close collaboration with R&D manufacturing engineering community to consider existing industrial set-up (technologies, capacity, cost, feasibility) to guide innovation to solutions with highest success rate
Be a key player during the scale-up and transfer phase to ensure smooth transition from Nestlé Research to Nestlé Product Technology Centers, Nestlé factories or co-manufacturers
Investigate, design & implement (with compliance to norms and regulations) new process & technologies in pilot plant environment, for multi-product/business applications (scouting, horizontal transfer)
Explore and enable concepts by connecting scientists and pilot plant technicians
Develop and maintain Food Process Engineering competences at NR
Bachelor or Master Degree in Process Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of process engineering experience in food industry
Previous professional experience in the industrialization of new products in factories, knowledge of operations
Participated in multi-disciplinary teams, link with product & process development
Collaborated with external partners, universities, leading laboratories in technology & engineering
Fluent in English, any other language a plus
