FPGA Design Engineer for Simulink-based Power Electronics and Motor Controls Applications
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Specification, implementation, testing and documentation of Simulink-designed functionality for FPGA execution, with a focus on motor control, drives, and power electronics
Development of reference designs for Xilinx®-based FPGA I/O modules integrated into MathWorks HDL Coder™ and Simulink Real-Time™ products
Close collaboration with development teams and Application Engineers to improve combined workflows with MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape™, HDL Coder and HDL Verifier™
Close support for current and future potential customers by means of advanced technical presentations, training sessions, and design services for model-based design applications
Evaluation of customer requirements and benchmarking of Simscape-based hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) applications deployed on FPGAs
Engineering degree in electrical or computer engineering, physics or similar
Experience with power electronics, controls for power converters (DC/DC, DC/AC) and drives
Ideally 3+ years of experience with Xilinx-based FPGA designs
Ideally 3+ years of experience with C++, MATLAB and Simulink
Strong organizational skills and good team player
Motivated to learn through proactive market research
Excellent written and spoken English and German
