The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Beverage in Orbe is the leading Nestlé Coffee and Beverages Competence Centre that develops products and production processes for in-home and out-of-home consumption. The product category departments consists of units in Konolfingen, Marysville, Orbe and Singapore and provide new products and processes to all Nestlé markets worldwide. They are the owner of the science and technology roadmaps for its category.

We are currently looking for a Compliance, Process & Machinery Safety Engineer that will support the site/unit process & machinery safety implementation through application of the Nestlé S&H Management System (NSMS) and industrials norms and standards. You will also provide leadership across all parts of the site/unit to enable staff to realize their S&H goals and create pride in their achievements. Finally, you will support the category by managing all category specific standards and guidelines.
Own/Acquire/Source the expertise and methodology in the field of machinery and process safety
Identify safety priorities, current & future challenges, and opportunities for implementation at category/site/unit level
Guide implementation and communication of the strategy
Ensure training and coaching is provided to managers, team leaders and engineers to help them take ownership, and lead & manage P&M Safety within their area of responsibility
Develop & coordinate P&M safety networks of professionals, champions, and SMEs for the category
Develop their functional and leadership competencies and ensure robust succession plans for key P&M safety positions
Support activities and co-ordinate internal & external resources to ensure delivery of high quality and efficient Process Safety deliveries
Ensure compliance is regularly audited and performance assessed, and the results used to drive further improvement
Has demonstrated the following competences such as :
Mechanical/Technical background, engineering degree, postgraduate in Process safety
Knowledge & experience in Safety management and process hazard analysis method
Min 7 years of field experience in industrial/process environment
Work experience in an operational Pharmaceutical, chemistry Food & Beverage experience a plus
Working in, and leading, cross-functional teams
Translating policies & standards into practical action plans
Coaching individuals and teams in different environments
Holding one or more line (or project) management positions
Fluent in English and good knowledge of French
