The Manager, Commercial Alliance is considered the business owner for Emergent’s Travel Health distributor partners markets. She/ he will drive and add value to Emergent through maintaining and growing partnerships and launching new products through the partner organization. Relationships with these partners must remain well managed and mutually beneficial to both companies. Your primary objective is to maintain short-term revenue and increase mid to long-term revenue as well as developing deep and trusting business relationships with Emergent’s partner network.
This position will closely collaborate with most internal business functions and our partners’ management teams. As Manager, Commercial Alliance you will report to the Vice President European Commercial Ops and Alliance Management and will sit on the EU and Alliance Management Commercial Leadership Team.
Ensure the delivery of contractual obligations and assisting partners to succeed with the Emergent Travel Health product portfolio
Maximize existing opportunities and revenue streams
Build and execute on the company’s Travel Health Alliance Management Business Plan
Being knowledgeable of the partner’s value proposition, their markets, business challenges and opportunities
Drive partner communication to ensure each one is up to date with the latest developments in all relevant business areas
Building multi-level relationships with the partners including those in the executive level
Strong cross-functional collaboration with internal functions such as Supply Chain, Regulatory, Marketing, Quality Assurance and Finance to fulfill business and partner needs
Lead the launch readiness for products in the pipeline within the partners territories
Manage and prioritize new external opportunities (new markets)
Produce high-quality leads through engagement with potential partners
Represent your assigned markets within the company
Support the compliance and management of legal contracts
The candidate must be self-starter and have a passion for customer orientation focused on Commercial and Business Development. Drive must come from the willingness to help the company’s and partner’s growth.
The candidate should be disciplined and structured in working with people and projects as well as be culturally sensitive in dealing with the diverse backgrounds of individuals from many different countries.
You hold a bachelor’s degree preferably in Business or Scientific discipline, MBA a plus
Self-driven with a proven ability to influence without authority and work with cross-functional teams
Comfortably navigate a culture where constructive feedback is safe and embraced to foster constant improvements and innovation
Strong understanding of commercial / marketing strategy and experience translating strategy into execution
Min 4 years hands on experience at product / brand marketing
Min 2 years Business Development experience in pharma/biotech industry
Sales / Alliance Management experience, a plus
Understanding of vaccine commercialization, a plus
Previous product launch experience, a plus
Min English fluency and a second European language
German fluency a preference
50% travel (mainly in Europe)
