Professor in Bioanalytical Chemistry
Position description
- Teach analytical chemistry and bioanalytics at Bachelor's and Master's level
- Establish a strong, externally funded research program in bioanalytical sciences and contribute to the Institute's expertise in bioanalytical chemistry
- Develop and apply analytical chemistry methods for biological applications, especially the use of MS for protein analysis, and proteomics
- Provide analytical support to in-house research groups and to external customers
- Guide staff with method development of analytical procedures
- Establish and maintain contact with industry professionals for the benefit of teaching and research
Selection criteria
- PhD in analytical chemistry, biochemistry or other related discipline
- Strong knowledge and skills in analytical and instrumental bioanalytical method development and characterization for biomolecules
- In-depth knowledge in the field of qualitative and quantitative analysis of peptides and proteins
- Analytical development experience in the field of bioanalytics in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- Strong R&D project management experience
- Good understanding of lab operational resource management and budgeting
- Expertise in the development, qualification, validation and release of data under GMP and
GLP compliant quality systems is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative, matrix environment
- Mother tongue French or German with very good knowledge of the second language and of
English
