Digital Transformation Specialist - Generative AI Projects

Job description:

Location: Rotkreuz, Switzerland (Hybrid, up to 50% remote)

Department: R&D Digital Innovation and Operational Services

Start Date: October - December 2025

Contract: 15 months, with possible extension

About the Team

This global R&D innovation team focuses on internal improvement: simplifying processes, modernizing data ecosystems, and enabling collaboration across organizational and geographical boundaries. The group drives digital initiatives by integrating modern technologies with a particular focus on design control data and documentation in regulated environments.

The Role

As a Digital Transformation Specialist, you will play a leading role in advancing Generative AI initiatives within R&D. Your focus will be on identifying opportunities for AI to optimize design control documentation processes-a critical part of regulated product development.

You will act as a bridge between business needs and technology, developing proofs of concept, supporting validation, and helping scale impactful AI solutions. Working in a small, agile team, you will deliver rapid, measurable results that shape the organization's digital transformation journey.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze design control processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for Generative AI.
  • Define use cases and KPIs for AI-driven process improvements.
  • Lead proof-of-concept projects (3-4 month cycles) with internal teams and external partners.
  • Support the validation and scaling of AI solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to planning, execution, and delivery in an agile, SAFe-based environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharma, medical devices, biotech).
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design processes and design control documentation.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies, ideally SAFe.
  • Proven business analysis skills: ability to translate business needs into actionable use cases.
  • Foundational knowledge of Generative AI and its practical applications.
  • Experience with validation of computerized systems, ideally including AI.
  • Fluent English (spoken & written); German is a plus.

What's on Offer

  • Opportunity to work at the forefront of AI in healthcare R&D.
  • A collaborative, global environment with freedom to innovate.
  • Hybrid working model (up to 50% remote).
  • Contract until December 2026, with possibility of extension.

Apply now to help bring Generative AI into the heart of R&D and shape the future of digital innovation.
