Senior Oracle Exadata specialist

The Senior Oracle Exadata Engineer will be responsible for the following:

?

• Architecture & Design: Exadata capacity planning; HA with RAC
• DR with (Active) Data Guard
• Backup/restore via RMAN
• Leverage Smart Scan, HCC, IORM
• Upgrades/migrations (Data Guard)
• Tuning with AWR/ASH and SQL
• I/O optimization
• Capacity management
• incident/change per ITIL
• Security & Compliance

This is a contract starting in February 2026 running for 9 months (with chance for extension) offering 40% home office.

The Senior Oracle Exadata Engineer is responsible for the architecture, implementation, operation, and optimization of Oracle Exadata Database Machine environments with virtualized KVM hosts supporting mission-critical workloads (OLTP, DW, mixed).

You will partner with application, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver high availability, performance, scalability, and security across on premises.

You will possess as many of the following skills as possible:

?

• 7+ years Oracle DBA/Engineering
• 3+ years with Exadata
• Deep expertise in the following: RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with Exadata X Series, Smart Scan, Storage Indexes, HCC; patch/lifecycle management
• Strong Linux administration
• Experience with HA/DR design and exercises
• OEM/monitoring proficiency
• Fluency in English (German nice to have)
