Team Lead Global Raw Material Sourcing (m/f/d)

Raw materials - especially resins - are a critical sourcing category with significant impact on our success. We are seeking an experienced leader to manage global supplier relationships and drive strategic procurement for a purchasing volume exceeding CHF 300 million.

Your tasks:

• Lead and develop a team of 5 Strategic Sourcing Managers
• Lead global strategic sourcing of plastic raw materials, coordinating with Category Managers, Lead Buyers, and key stakeholders
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives for cost, availability, quality, and sustainability
• Build and guide a global network across Procurement, R&D, Product Management, and Sustainability
• Provide strategic direction to senior management and report key results to the CPO
• Manage supplier performance, risk, and development initiatives to secure availability in challenging markets
• Deliver market analysis and forecasts on price and supply trends

Your profile:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, production, supply chain, or business administration
• 10+ years’ experience in strategic procurement in a manufacturing environment, ideally plastics
• Experience in leading teams
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills with excellent communication skills
• Analytical, strategic, and execution-oriented mindset
• Experience in matrix and decentralized organizations
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
• Fluent in English and German
• Willingness to travel (approx. 20%)

Important information: The position can be filled in Schaffhausen (Switzerland) or Hassfurt (Germany).
