Project: For our client, a large pharmaceutical company based in Basel, we are looking for a Process Engineer / Operations Engineer.

Background:
We are seeking a Professional Process Engineer / Operations Engineer for our Operations Engineering team. The responsibilities include work on building 091/095 in the area of PNAE (Process Ancillary Facilities Utilities).

The ideal candidate possesses in-depth experience as a process engineer or operations engineer with process engineering expertise, particularly in the areas of ultrapure media, steam, and energy. In addition to specialist knowledge, a strong willingness to help, team spirit, excellent interpersonal skills, and a confident demeanor are essential. Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken, completes the profile.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement process engineering solutions and optimizations
• Responsible for adherence to deadlines, costs, and the achievement of project goals
• Compliance with and assurance of cGMP requirements within the framework of investment projects and operational engineering.
• Responsibility for both optimizations and modifications as well as for the technical support of complex and demanding chemical and biotechnological plants and the realization of investment projects from initial project definition to handover to the operator
• Responsible for active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) production (batch processes as well as continuous manufacturing processes)
• Collaboration in a project team in an interdisciplinary technical environment

Must-haves:
• University degree or equivalent in a relevant field
• Initial experience in GMP & pharmaceuticals
• Excellent IT skills (e.g., Microsoft, Google
) • Fluent German and good written and spoken English skills
• A positive, honest, and self-reflective personality with strong teamwork skills
• Open to new ideas and willing to question conventional thinking
• A communicative and decisive personality with persuasiveness and assertiveness, who enjoys working independently

Nice to have:
• Process engineering knowledge in ultrapure media, steam and energy
• Know-how in the design of plants, pumps and heat exchangers
