Technical R&D Associate: Laboratory Technician / Method Validation / Analytics / GMP / Quality Management System / German / English

Project: For our client, a large pharmaceutical company based in Basel, we are looking for a Technical R&D Associate

Background:
At our Basel location, we are offering an exciting position as a Technical R&D Associate. In this role, we are responsible for the planning, execution, and completion of analytical testing (stability and release testing for medicinal products) as well as method validation activities within the Investigational Medicinal Products Quality Control (IMP-QC) team, in accordance with cGMP, safety, and regulatory requirements. We are looking for motivated employees to join our IMP-QC operations team and actively contribute to a variety of exciting tasks. The perfect candidate:

The ideal candidate has completed vocational training (laboratory technician/CTA/BTA) or holds a degree in a natural science and has at least three years of solid professional experience in analytics under GMP conditions. They are proficient in planning and executing complex stability and release tests, including method validation, and independently ensure complete documentation according to the highest data integrity standards. As a proactive team player, they reliably implement priorities in a dynamic environment and communicate fluently in German and English (C1 level).

Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Planning, execution, and completion of analytical tests (stability and release testing for drug products and i/drug substances, including method validation activities) as well as raw material releases within the IMP QC team in accordance with cGMP, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Independent management of the associated laboratory organization and administration
• Creation and review of analytical documentation with a strong focus on quality, data integrity, and deadlines
• Initiation of deviation investigations
• Participation in quality assessments and investigations
• Timely completion of training sessions

• Successfully completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory assistant, CTA, BTA
, or comparable qualification. Alternatively, you can demonstrate a university degree in natural sciences (PhD overqualified).
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in analytical techniques and experience working under a quality management system.
• You have a strong quality awareness and a thorough understanding of GMP principles and data integrity.
• You possess excellent organizational skills that enable you to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in dynamic environments.
• You can thrive in an agile matrix organization and contribute to shared goals.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken (C1 level)
. • You are a team player with a strong sense of responsibility, a high willingness to learn, and a proactive attitude.
