About this position
For an ultra-high net worth (UHNW) family in London, UK we are seeking to expand our team with an experienced Global Head of Maintenance to perform a high-level property maintenance and technicians/engineers team management in 6 properties located in UK, Switzerland, Monaco, France (South of France and Courchevel). The Global Head of Maintenance is expected to play a key role in planning, development and completion of maintenance works and construction projects. The main responsibilities include creating and monitoring yearly work planners, overseeing all regular engineering works and urgent troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a shortlist of trusted contractors, will be able to conduct market research and find optimal solutions while maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Global Head of Maintenance reports directly to the Global Director and will work closely with multiple teams and their line managers.
Key requirements:
- 7 years of experience in a similar position;
- Up-to-date knowledge of the industry;
- Existing network of partners;
- Deep knowledge of all safety and security systems/standards and troubleshooting;
- Excellent people and project management skills; used to working within tight deadlines;

Duties and responsibilities:
- Developing global maintenance processes and procedures and ensuring timely and error free implementation; introducing best practice maintenance vision/strategy;
- Carrying out regular inspections of the properties to identify and resolve issues;
- Checking all the properties’ systems to ensure impeccable functionality;
- Making yearly, monthly, weekly work planners for the maintenance of indoors and outdoors areas and ensuring their timely execution;
- Setting up and carrying out preventive and curative maintenance plans for the properties;
- Ensuring that all the safety standards are adhered to at any given time;
- Maintaining up to date inventory lists for all the properties on regular basis;
- Supervising regular checks, maintainance and repairs of main electrical installations, AC and ventilation systems, smart home systems, SPA and pool systems, troubleshooting IT/AV systems, as well as carry out plumbing repairs and carpentry works;
- Ensuring all equipment or engineering activity is supported with appropriate qualification documentation and that this is appropriately stored;
- Supervising and monitoring maintenance works on the spot and remotely during and off-season on all the properties;
- Sourcing and screening candidates for the maintenance team, coordinating interview process, facilitating offers and employment negotiations;
- Providing leadership and coordination to the team, complete regular performance reviews, manage attendance, holidays, disciplinary issues and procedures as appropriate;
- Providing training to the key staff members on systems essential to the client’s everyday life;
- Overseeing and managing construction sites/works and regularely reporting on progress;
- Keeping technical and contract documentation records, issuing detailed reports on executed works, making analysis and presenting the results in a concise and accessible manner;
- Creating budgets and project execution timelines; finding and implementing ways to improve cost-efficiency;
- Selecting suitable external contractors, reviewing them and ensuring they are of the best value;
- Maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Ensuring impeccable cleanliness at any given time of all the properties’ exteriors;
- Reporting on regular basis to the Senior Management Team.
Working arrangements
The general work schedule is five days a week Mon-Fri. Regular travel forseen on all the locations mentioned in the position description section.
