Strategic Learning and Evaluation Manager
In this role, you will help shape a learning-focused and impact-oriented culture within the team and support the further development of an evidence-based portfolio practice. You will contribute to building a coherent system for collecting, analyzing, and using evidence, preparing insights in a clear and accessible way, and ensuring their relevance for strategic decision-making. You will advise internal colleagues and external partners on the design of monitoring, evaluation, and learning approaches and ensure that programs are equipped with robust MEL components. You will also help strengthen the MEL capacities of our partners, contribute to building long-term support structures in the countries where we work, and facilitate learning processes at both partner and portfolio level. In addition, you represent the foundation in relevant professional communities, bringing fresh ideas and good practices into the organisation.
You hold a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification and have experience in developing and implementing MEL approaches in complex systems and social change contexts. You are familiar with a range of methodological approaches to evidence and knowledge generation and value participatory learning processes that integrate diverse perspectives, particularly those of young people. Experience in low- and middle-income countries, as well as knowledge relevant to the foundation’s themes or in venture philanthropy/impact investing, is an advantage. You communicate fluently in English and ideally also in German or French. Learning agility, strong collaboration skills, an independent working style, and a willingness to travel up to 20% of your time complete your profile.
