Position Summary
As a Fixed Assets Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for application of international and local accounting guidelines for fixed assets within the different legal entities managed by Financial Services Switzerland.
A day in the life of a Fixed Assets Accounting Supervisor
· Ensure completeness and correctness of related Balance Sheet and P&L values, as per Nestlé Account Standards and local statutory regulations
· Manage End to End governance and process mapping of the required activities to ensure robust asset management
· Supervise quarterly Magnitude Consolidation packages for asset matters
· Verify fixed assets activities for monthly Period End Closing performed by Shared Services
· Provide Fixed Asset subject matter expertise, like Return on Investment analyses, Impairment requests, Statutory compliance
· Provide technical support for fixed assets activities such as validation of Impairment Test
· Act as subject matter SPOC towards internal and external auditors
· Ensure that physical inventories are performed by the responsible partners and ensure that proper documentation is maintained
What will make you successful
· University Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting or any related field
· At least 5 years' experience in Accounting, preferably with 1-2 years of fixed assets, including book and tax depreciation
· Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP
· Project management experience
· Good understanding of internal controls
· Detail oriented on day-to-day operations but also able to take a "˜helicopter' view of issues, making decisions and giving a steer based on the big picture
· Maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment, and continuously evolving to meet changing business needs
· Quick learner and problem solver when faced with new issues or challenges
· Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills
· Fluent in English, French and/or German is an asset
