About the role
We are looking for a visionary leader to drive the global business development and trading strategy of our organization. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape trading operations across multiple asset classes, optimize performance, and lead a high-performing international team.
The Global Head of Business Development & Trading will focus on maximizing profitability, managing financial risks, and implementing innovative trading and pricing strategies. The role also involves expanding international business opportunities, building key client relationships, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory and internal governance standards.
What you'll do
- Drive global business development initiatives to expand trading activities, client relationships, and product offerings.
- Develop tailored financial solutions in collaboration with structuring, sales, and trading teams.
- Monitor global market conditions and identify growth opportunities in trading and product innovation.
- Execute and oversee complex hedging and risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with institutional clients, counterparties, and global financial institutions.
- Ensure compliance with international regulatory frameworks (FINMA, MiFID II, EU directives, etc.).
- Provide strategic input into the firm's global expansion, product innovation, and risk frameworks.
- Oversee trading performance, business KPIs, and market penetration metrics.
- Lead and mentor trading and business development teams across multiple geographies.
- Own the P&L of the division and ensure delivery of financial and strategic objectives
What you'll need
- 15+ years of experience in Exotic Derivatives trading, Portfolio Management, and global business development across multiple asset classes.
- 10+ years of experience in trading US and/or other international Equities, exchange listed or OTC derivatives.
- 5+ years of International work experience, preferably in Asia and/or in North America.
- Proven track record in P&L ownership, trading strategy, and risk management.
- Strong knowledge of pricing methodologies, financial products, and hedging techniques.
- Leadership experience in managing global teams with a high-performance culture.
- Deep understanding of international regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Strong ability to identify market trends, develop growth strategies, and build client solutions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills with institutional clients.
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline is preferred.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
