As pilot plant lab technician you will develop and implement complex flavour ingredients under the guidance of senior team members. You act as the link between pilot plant and factory in new product implementations. You will be responsible for the maintenance of the pilot and the lab. You will be part of a growth-minded, insights-based team of specialists within the Science & Technology organisation. This position is based in our innovation center in Kemptthal.
The position is based in Kemptthal (Switzerland).
You will:
- Run product development experiments, scale-ups and product improvements according to defined requirements
- Actively communicate work plans and results in written and oral form to the team and the wider organization (e.g.: via product evaluations/tastings)
- Proper planning, execution and documentation of workload
- Conduct root cause analysis on unexpected experimental results and put them up for discussion
- Adhere to EHS conform working procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment
- Monitor and maintain necessary inventory of raw materials and hardware spare parts to assure smooth running of the lab/pilot plant
- Actively coordinate and plan with operations to meet customer expectations in regards to timely delivery and product quality
You have:
- An apprenticeship/diploma as chemical lab technologist or bachelor's degree in food technology with a base in organic chemistry
- +2 years of industry experience in a chemical or food related domain with a clear processing context
- The desire to coordinate the pilot plant and the relevant assets
- The desire to work hands on
- The passion for food and the willingness to grow into the field of flavours
- Solid basis in English and German (must)
