Project Manager

The Position

As “Project Manager” you will be accountable to coordinate, lead, and manage all assigned projects (PLM Phase 1 to 4 inclusive) by working closely with all internal (Engineering, Portfolio Management, Sales, Quality, Operations) and external (customers, suppliers, authorities, etc.) stakeholders. You will also be responsible for delivering the assigned projects within stated scope, cost, quality, and schedule requirements.

The main responsibilities for this role are:


Project Planning

  • Develop project scope/statement of work and objectives and ensure that they are understood by involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure project technical feasibility
  • Identify resources and ensure project allocation with Product Line Management
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress and release a master schedule that satisfies an agreed set of milestones and deliverables
  • Perform project cost estimation and budgeting supported by a consolidated cost breakdown and cost control
  • Perform assessment to identify project risks and ensure mitigation actions are in place and properly documented
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive project documentation

Project Execution

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-scope, on-time, and on-cost
  • Lead the cross-functional project teams and engage internal and/or external resources to ensure proper execution of the projects
  • Work with the project teams to solve any problems that arise and engage all necessary actions to deliver the project in due time, cost, and quality
  • Maintain an up-to-date plan and associated risk register, change ledger, and action lists for all projects
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and KPIs
  • Manage internal and external project related communication

Project Reporting

  • Monitor projects performance, track and capture any changes in scope, schedule, and cost, and communicate for appropriate actions
  • Report on project progress to all project stakeholders
  • Report and escalate any issues critically impacting the project scope, schedule, and costs

Your Profile

  • Bachelor degree in engineering or a related field, Master degree a plus
  • 5+ year experience in complex engineering project management
  • Professional certification in project management
  • Fluent in English, good command of French (spoken and written)
  • Demonstrated track record of performance against delivery goals 
  • Solid experience with MS Project
  • Experience in agile methodology and associated tools is a strong asset 
  • Knowledge in components and systems for condition and protection monitoring is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and lead project team
  • Good communication and negotiation skills to manage expectations
  • Ability to take initiatives and make decisions under pressure
  • Results driven and customer oriented
  • Autonomous and pro-active, open attitude
