This challenging and diverse position will include the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Management, support and further development of the Global IT infrastructure operations
- Continuous improvement of services to meet changing business needs
- Ensuring SLAs for vendor services are defined, monitored and reported
- Act as an escalation point for IT requests and incidents
- SME and technical stakeholder for global technology projects
- Work with business customers to understand their needs and provide solutions
- Understand the business impact of changes and service disruptions and manage appropriately
- Identifying Cybersecurity vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, and opportunities for improvements and get them implemented
- Assist in developing security standards and best practices as part of IT strategy
- Provide technical guidance to technology partners and service providers to ensure alignment is maintained with business needs
- This position will include some wordwide traveling
For this position, we are looking for a highly motivated individual bringing along:
- University degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent
- Proof of continued education such as certifications is desirable
- Sound working knowledge of IT operations, systems, and developments in the industrial environment
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT
- Knowledge of the areas below is an advantage:
- SAP operations in on premises environments
- Computer virtualization aptitude including VMWare vSphere
- Know how in storage and backup best practices
- SD-WAN and MSS architectures and services
- IT Services management across multiple/international locations
- ISO 27001 ff.
- UNIX, LINUX, open source affinity
- Proven leadership skills and ability to lead others in defining requirements and identifying solutions
- Available for on-call duties, as well as off-hour emergency & disruptive work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven project management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in German and English (written and oral)
